Training with coach rex
* Knowing, understanding and building your own game style.
* Learning to master both singles and doubles; they are different games, having skills in one helps the other.
* Developing the ability to deal with adversity, meaning: strategic, personal, environmental, bad calls, etc
* Practicing hard work and smart work, two different things.
* Understanding and accepting what you cannot control.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY:
A great coach serves as a role model, advocate, cheerleader and sounding board, and has no personal agenda. A great coach questions, suggests, reflects and, most importantly, listens to his players, because conversation is one of the most important keys to a beneficial coach-player relationship. A great coach always tells the truth, but is also empathetic to the situation the player is in.

for players
The core value of coaching lies in the process that an athlete experiences. The coach/athlete relationship is not about problem solving. It is about setting goals and taking action. Coach Rex fosters a nurturing environment in which the responsibility for change rests with the player. Always put forth 100% effort, but remember to work at your own pace. If you try to reach someone else’s goals (such as friends, coaches, relatives), you will impede your growth as a player and a person. Be honest with yourself and you will never be disappointed.
